Editorial policy
We run a growth agency for coliving operators and we publish research about the sector those operators work in. Those two things can pull against each other, and the honest response is to write down the rules we hold ourselves to rather than hope nobody asks.
Nobody pays to appear here
We take no payment, commission, affiliate fee or reciprocal link arrangement for any mention, link, listing or ranking on this site. Where an operator, supplier or platform is named — in a city guide, a comparison, a market dossier — it is because naming them was useful to the reader. If that ever changes, the change will be disclosed on the page it affects before it goes live, not in a footer.
We do not rank ourselves
Our comparison pages do not place our own service, or any product we own, at the top of a list. Every comparison carries a visible disclosure of who we are and what interest we have, at the top of the page rather than the bottom. Each one also carries a section on when the other option is the better business, and those sections are written to be acted on.
Competitors are argued with, not named at
We disagree publicly with claims we think are wrong, including claims made by our competitors. We do that by taking the claim seriously and showing our working, not by naming and attacking. Where we critique an unattributed sector statistic, we say what is wrong with the evidence rather than who published it.
Client work stays unpublished until the client says otherwise
We have run growth for coliving brands with results worth publishing. Those numbers stay off the site until the client approves the specific figures in writing. This is the main reason our case studies are thinner than our client list, and we would rather explain that than publish something a client did not sanction.
AI is a tool here, not an author
We use AI in research and drafting. Every page is reviewed and signed off by a named human before publication, every third-party figure is checked against its primary source by a person, and the byline names a person who is accountable for the page. A page nobody was willing to put their name to does not get published.
Corrections are public
When we get a fact wrong we correct the page, date the correction, and log it publicly — including corrections we catch ourselves before anyone reports them. We do not quietly edit a number and leave the page looking as though it always said that.
Hold us to it
If you think we have broken one of these — a figure that looks like paid placement, a comparison that reads as self-serving, a number you cannot trace — tell us which page and what you think is wrong. We publish the corrections either way.
